New London Code of Ordinances
Most City ordinances are contained within the New London Code of Ordinances. Please refer to the Code of Ordinances for the complete and current codification of City regulations.
Additional Zoning Regulations
The City also maintains a separate Zoning Manual containing additional regulations. The Zoning Manual does not contain all applicable land use and subdivision requirements. It includes the following:
- Article I – General Regulations
- Article II – Shoreland Management Ordinance
- Article III – Signs
- Article IV – Rental Unit Registration and Inspection
- Article V – Floodplain
For all other applicable land use and subdivision requirements, please refer to the New London Code of Ordinances.
Recently Adopted Ordinances and Amendments
The Code of Ordinances is amended from time to time. There may be a delay between the City Council's adoption of an ordinance or amendment and its codification and incorporation into the Code of Ordinances.
During this period, recently adopted ordinances or amendments that have not yet been incorporated into the Code will be posted below the Code of Ordinances as stand-alone documents. These documents should be reviewed in conjunction with the Code of Ordinances when determining the City's current requirements.
